Hate it when everybody leaves ...

Because it leaves me with no immediate back ups.

But for the time being, this was a guy I met while on a story in north Alabama, Craig Allen. Craig had been driving trucks for a little more than two decades, including spending the cotton harvesting season ferrying huge bundles of fluffiness from the fields to the refineries.

If my original subject comes back, I'll put some of her up, too.

Nice fish, dude

Actually, a lot of cool things going on with this guy, but I only had time for the fish. He says he goes to Marietta every now and then to get them worked on, and has been doing so for about two years.

Hope I run into him again ...

Jeez ...

So I shot my next doc photo after having the first one fall through, and then I got home and set up my computer, thinking to myself that, okay, this'll be a little late, but not *that* late. And now, almost six hours later, after downloading three programs before one of them would process RAW (necessary because my GD-ed computer's Digital Photo Professional for some reason stopped working on RAW files), I'm finally getting around to actually posting it.

... sigh ...

I was considering doing a kind of wrap-around thing, since it goes all the way around his wrist, but his time ran short and I didn't want to keep him too long. Sic Semper Tyrannis --"thus always to tyrants." I think it might be more apt wrapped around one's middle finger, but that's just me ...

Whoops

This is a lot later than it should be, and I have no excuse worthy of mentioning, aside from just life being what is.

Zach moved to Athens be close to old friends. Right after he moved into a town home on the east side of town, he went cruising around downtown with a buddy to look for jobs and submit applications. Instead, they came across a tattoo parlor and decided it would be a better use of the day to get a tattoo. That's impulse for you.

He's a geek after my own heart.

All the world

Sorry, little pressed for time, story later!

Ciao, y'all ...

Blasted cow ...

Hey ... cow ... would you ... dammit, cow, stop biting my subject!

Silly cow ... calf, whatever ...

Ms. G

I realize that something I haven't really been considering with these tattoo pictures is the story behind the tattoo. I'll starting adding a short interview about them, make the stories more relevant to the photo.

Shot this one of Ms. G and her phoenix on the second floor of the Holmes-Hunter building this morning. I wasn't sure whether or not to stick with the monotone of the "dry run" with Colin, or to do color, so I put up one of each. Isn't the nearly infinite storage capacity of the 'net a nifty thing?

As always, there are some things I'd do different (maybe *will* do differently) if I could shoot it again. Hindsight, 20/20, blah blah blah.
